when a compiler crashes while compiling code, it is _always_
a bug of the compiler (hence the message asking you to report it).
you should make sure that you have the latest patchlevel of
the intel 9.1 compiler installed.
over the last few releases (since version 8.0, IIRC) all
intel compilers had some problems in the original released
package and needed some patches to become reliable (again).
n.b., this is rather good compared to other compilers,
that needed many _releases_ to become reliable at all.
