Right. You need to comment out the line:
stdout=fopen("/dev/null", "w+");
in sysdepend.c, changing it into
/* stdout=fopen("/dev/null", "w+"); */
Apart from that, the Makefile I indicated does the job. (I just tested
this assertion)
