[CPMD-list] problems during compilation

Hi Zhang,
It is important that you describe your cluster so that people can help you
sort out this compile problem.

Please provide:
Processor type (Xeon, Pentium or Itanium) (i assumed from your mail that you
                     have linux on Intel)
Output of the command "uname -a"
Output of the command "mpif77 --showme"
Output of the command "cat /etc/issue"

Oops. I just noticed that you had mentioned Linux on Itanium (IA64) as your
cluster in an earlier mail to cpmd-list.

anyway, another thing that I noticed is that you have set -DPARALLEL=parallel in
CPPFLAGS. However, you are using "ifort" as the compiler and linker. The default
Makefile that cpmd produces has mpif90 as the compiler (FC) and linker (LD). Was
there a reason for you to change those?

Cheers,
Bala
