Dear Alexandr ,
did you use ./mkconfig.sh IBM-PWR5-AIX-ESSL to create the Makefile ?
I have just retested now on POWER5 with the same confs and it works
without problems - of course also with make ( as it should) -
very probable you hand edited the Makefile and introduced some wird
character.
If you would like to use it in OpenMP mode on pwr5 - please take away (
if it still there) azzero.F from the NOOPT_OBJS in the configure file and
be sure that IBM_NEW flag is not on - performance reasons.
Bests,
Alessandro

[CPMD-list] IBM AIX compilation problem
Dear cpmd community:
I have a problem compiling CPMD v3.11.1 on IBM AIX
(AIX hostname 3 5 000964F0D600) using either IBM-PWR5-AIX-ESSL
or IBM-PWR5-AIX-ESSL-SMP. In both cases the compilation itself going
smoothly and the error appears on the inlining step:
1501-510 Compilation successful for file timetag.f.
rm -f cpmd.x
if [ "." != "." ]; then ln -s ./cpmd.x cpmd.x; fi
xlf_r -O3 -qstrict -o ./cpmd.x cpmd.o timetag.o softex.o envir.o
setcnst.o ....
[...]
xlf_r: 1501-228 input file not found
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 252.
Am I missed something?
Thank you in advance,
Alexandr
