Ok. my compilations flags do not include '-D__pgf90'. I used exactly
the configuration files I got from you. What's the other side of the 'if
yes'?

I trust him on this issue too ... and i agree that the problem lies
somewhere else. the machine has been exhibiting some weird behaviours,
especially, losing 'track' of some directories in users home directories
(among other things) and its only umount/mount that solves the problem
... anyways it's on its way to retirement.
Ok, thanks again and please, let me know if you or anybody else have any
idea what I could do to solve the FILEOPEN hiccups!
