Dear Dr. Kohlmeyer,
I'm sorry, but what does it mean by "adapting the makefile"? Do I have to make any changes to the original "Configure" code in the /SOURCE folder? If yes, how can the changes be made?

hi,
you need to adapt the makefile, type make and hope for the best. <g>
the flags can be largely taken from the cpmd makefile.
the version distributed alongside cpmd-v3.9 will have a
Configure script similar to the one from cpmd.
