[CPMD-list] Memory Allocation

Hi Axel!

Alright, I have run both my revised code and the binaries you sent me on
RH9 (running on a virtual machine), on the same dual athlon system, and
everything runs just fine.

It would thus seem that the problem is with RHEL.  There seems to be a
memory problem inherent in this version of the OS, so perhaps I've
stummbled upon a new bug?
