According to correspondence with Salomon Billeter <ZRLSRB at ch.ibm.com>,
the source files memory.f and freem.f have to be compiled without
-qsmp=omp, when compiling the MPI+OpenMP version of cpmdv3.7 with xlf/8
on a IBM p690 platform.
This solved the reported problem. Thanks for the hint!
