hi,

although i don't have access to an OSF alpha system, 
you may succeed by:

a) applying the attached patch (fixes a few minor things and
   adds support for the alpha architecture, only tested on linux/alpha)
   to the vanilla cpmd2cube sources.
   
b) using the same settings for CPP/CPPFLAGS/FC/FFLAGS/LIBS
   and so on that you used for compiling cpmd.
