     POSTDOCTORAL POSITION: Proton Transfer in Biosystems
                Bochum University, Germany

Applications are invited for a research associate position.
The preferred starting date would be spring 2003.

The ideal candidate would have significant experience in mixed 
quantum/classical, Car-Parrinello, and/or path integral 
simulations. She or he would work primarily on quantum simulations 
of proton transfer along hydrogen-bond networks in complex 
biological systems.  

In addition, a PhD position in electronic structure theory 
(surface science, heterogeneous catalysis, theoretical STM imaging) 
is expected to become available in July/August 2003.  

The Theoretical Chemistry Group at RUB offers an exciting 
interdisciplinary environment with excellent working 
conditions including a 500 GFLOPS parallel machine.
