Hi Hou,

   dxml is the library that contains LAPACK and another
routines (FFT). Normally if you use the fortran from Compaq
(which bought DEC and which is bought by HP) you have only
to specify -ldxml.

In a DEC-alpha Workstation 500, the location is:
/usr/shlib 
(/usr/shlib/libdxml.so)

I do not know where the static library libdxml is.
