Hello Yuguang,

did you start the LAM-daemon before?
Something like

$ lamboot -v <hostsfile>

needs to be executed first. See the LAM-MPI documentation for
details ... http://www.lam-mpi.org/6.5/

(yes, the sequential binary is usually smaller than the parallel one)
